In this series I was inspired by Picasso. In 1907 he created Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, which was derided so much by his fellow artists that he turned it to the wall for many years. I wanted to create something equally out of my comfort zone. Each painting partly obscures another. Robert Indiana’s LOVE harks back to the Hippie era. My painting, Caravaggio’s and the Minimalist painting are obscured by the young woman.
